TriPeaks Solitaire: how to play
TriPeaks is a fast, streaky solitaire game, hosted by Kip. Twenty-eight cards make three overlapping peaks: play uncovered cards one rank higher or lower than the pile and clear all three. Long runs score big, the stock gets shorter as you climb the levels, and every deal is checked by a solver, so it can always be won.
How to play
- Play any uncovered card that's one rank higher or one lower than the top of the pile, in any suit. A card is uncovered when both cards resting on it are gone.
- No move? Turn a card from the stock onto the pile (tap it, or press TURN A CARD, D or ↓).
- Play cards one after another for a run (up to ×10): each card scores 10 × the level number × the run, and each peak top earns a bonus of 100 × the level number. Turning a card ends the run.
- Clear all three peaks to clear the level. Every card still in the stock adds to your bonus.
- If the stock is empty and nothing fits, you lose one of your three hearts and the same deal starts again.
- Tap a card to play it, or use ← → and Enter.
The five levels
- Neon City: every card face up; king and ace touch
- Rooftops: covered cards stay face down until they're freed
- Sewer: no wrap: king and ace don't touch
- Robot Factory: a shorter stock of 16 cards
- Glitch Zone: only 12 cards in the stock
Clear the Glitch Zone and the levels loop again with no wrap and every covered card face down in every level. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is
the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
Tips
- Look for the longest chain before you play: one run of eight beats two runs of four.
- When two cards fit, play the one that frees a face-down card.
- Save the stock. Every card left at the end is worth a bonus.
Questions
Is every TriPeaks deal winnable?
Yes. Each deal is checked by a solver before you get it.
What is the peak bonus?
The top card of each of the three peaks scores an extra 100 × the level number when you play it.
How is it different from Golf Solitaire?
Both play one higher or lower onto a pile, but in TriPeaks the cards overlap in three peaks, so freeing cards is part of the plan.
Is it free?
Yes. TriPeaks is free in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no download.
