Nonogram Online: how to play
Pixel Daily is a nonogram, also called a picture logic puzzle or griddler. The numbers beside each row and column tell you the runs of filled squares. Fill them in and a pixel picture appears.
How to play
- The numbers are runs of filled squares in that row or column, in order. "3 1" means a run of 3, a gap, then 1.
- Tap or drag to fill squares. Drag along a row or column to fill a whole run.
- Mark squares you know are empty with right-click, the X key or the CROSS button.
- A wrong square costs one of three hearts and shows its true value.
- Finished rows and columns cross out their leftover squares for you.
The five levels
- Neon City: tiny pictures, about 5×5: learn the clues
- Rooftops: up to 8×8: mark empty squares
- Sewer: up to 10×10: drag to fill runs
- Robot Factory: bigger pictures, often one of the gang
- Glitch Zone: up to 15×15
Clear the Glitch Zone and the zones loop again with fresh big pictures, from 10×10 up to 15×15. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is
the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
Tips
- Start with the biggest numbers: long runs always cover the middle of their line.
- A line whose clues add up to its length (with gaps) can be filled straight away.
- Use crosses: they make the next clue easier.
Questions
What is a nonogram?
A picture logic puzzle. Number clues tell you which squares to fill, and the filled squares make a picture.
Does every puzzle have one answer?
Yes. Every picture is checked by a solver to make sure it can be finished by logic, with no guessing.
Is it free?
Yes. Five new puzzles every day, free in your browser.
What do the crosses do?
Crosses mark squares you know are empty. They make the remaining clues much easier to read.
