Mahjong Solitaire: how to play
Mahjong Solitaire, the tile-matching game. Clear the table two tiles at a time. Every table is built so it can always be cleared, and Bruno stacks a new set every day.
How to play
- Tap two matching tiles that are both free to remove them.
- A tile is free when nothing sits on top of it and its left or right side is open. Blocked tiles look darker.
- Use HINT to show a pair (costs 50 points).
- If no moves are left, or you press SHUFFLE (two taps), you lose a heart and the tiles are reshuffled so they can still be cleared.
- Each table has a generous clock. Running out costs a heart and refills it.
The five levels
- Neon City: a little pyramid of 32 tiles
- Rooftops: 48 tiles
- Sewer: 72 tiles: clear tall stacks first
- Robot Factory: 108 tiles
- Glitch Zone: 126 tiles on four layers
Clear the Glitch Zone and the zones loop again on the two biggest layouts with a tighter clock. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is
the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
Tips
- Clear the tiles that block the most others first, usually on top of the tallest stacks.
- If three of a kind are free, choose the pair that opens up more tiles.
- Match quickly for a combo.
