Mogi Merge: how to play
A 2048-style sliding number puzzle with a few new tricks. Slide every tile at once, merge two of the same number, and see how big you can go before the board fills up.
How to play
- Slide with the arrow keys or WASD, swipe, or use the pad. Every tile moves together.
- Two tiles with the same number merge into one tile worth double.
- Mogi's battery doubles any tile it slides into.
- Stones block the way for a while, then crumble.
- When no move is left you lose a heart, and Mogi zaps four tiles (stones first, then the smallest numbers) so you can keep going.
The five levels
- Neon City: make a 64
- Rooftops: make a 128: batteries appear
- Sewer: make a 256: stones appear
- Robot Factory: make a 512: merge every move for a combo
- Glitch Zone: make a 1024: two new tiles each move
Clear the Glitch Zone and the zones loop again, each zone needing a tile twice as big: 2048, then 4096, and on. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is
the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
Tips
- Keep your biggest tile in one corner and build towards it.
- Save the battery for your largest tile.
- A move made when the board is full is a close call, and scores bonus points.
Questions
Is Mogi Merge like 2048?
Yes: the same slide-and-merge idea, plus batteries, stones and levels.
Is it free?
Yes. Play free in your browser on phones and computers.
Is the luck the same for everyone?
Everyone gets the same day's luck, though where new tiles land depends on your own board.
What do stones do?
Stones block the way for a while, then crumble. If Mogi has to zap tiles, stones go first.
