Halloween Bubble Shooter: how to play

Halloween Bubble Shooter is a free Halloween bubble shooter game online, hosted by Fizz, a bubbly potion bottle who fizzes when it giggles. Every bubble rises out of Fizz's neck: aim, fire and match three or more to pop them. The potion bubbles carry little Halloween pictures, a pumpkin face, a smiling ghost, a waving bat, a sleepy moon and a wrapped sweet, so you can match by colour or by picture. It is a friendly take on the witch bubble game: no witch, just Fizz and a shelf of potions. Clear five boards, from the Pumpkin Patch to the Star Castle.

How to play

To play this Halloween bubble game online, point at where you want to shoot (or turn the aim with ← → or A D), then tap, click or press Space to fire. A dotted line shows the start of the path.
Shots bounce off the side walls, so you can bank them around other bubbles.
Three or more touching bubbles with the same colour and picture pop. Bubbles that are no longer joined to the top drop.
Swap your bubble with the waiting one by tapping it (bottom right) or pressing X or ↓.
If a bubble ends up past the dashed line (after a shot, or when the ceiling drops) you lose one of three hearts; the bottom rows clear and play goes on.
Pop on shot after shot for a combo (up to ×10). Popping while the bubbles are close to the line is a close call. Three stars per level: clear it, clear it without losing a heart, and clear it under the target time.

The five levels

Pumpkin Patch: three potions: match 3 or more to pop
Candy Lane: star bubbles pop every bubble around them
Owl Woods: magic swirl bubbles match any colour
Moon Hill: the ceiling drops a row every 8 shots
Star Castle: five potions, and a magic mix swaps a few colours every 6 shots

Clear the Star Castle and the levels loop again with an extra row of bubbles and a ceiling that drops in every level. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.

Tips

Aim for the bubbles that hold others up: one pop near the top can drop a whole cluster.
Use the walls. A bank shot can reach a gap you can't hit straight on.
Every potion has its own picture: if two colours look alike to you, match the pumpkins, ghosts, bats, moons and sweets.
Swap when the loaded bubble has nowhere good to go, and keep star bubbles for crowded spots.
