Halloween Dress Up Game: how to play

Halloween Dress Up is a free online Halloween dress up game. Fuzz the fluffy monster runs a cosy costume shop, and the Night Crew come in with orders: "A wizard!", "A pirate with a parrot!", "An all-red superhero!". Pick hats, capes, masks, props and shoes from the tidy rails, match the order, then press DONE for the photo. Five places, three visits each, and every costume is a friendly one.

How to play

Read the order ticket. Its checklist ticks itself as the costume starts to match.
Tap a piece on the rails to try it on, or drag it onto your friend. Tap it again to take it off. A friend wears one piece from each rail: a hat, a cape or wings, a mask or glasses, a prop and shoes or a tail.
With a keyboard, use the arrows to move round the rails and Enter to try a piece on. Backspace takes the last piece off and D is DONE.
When every line on the ticket has a tick, press DONE! for the photo. A costume that meets the order scores; one that misses it costs one of your three hearts.
Each visit has a clock. Let it run out and you lose a heart too, but there is plenty of time for careful dressing.
Points per costume: 100 for meeting the order, up to 60 more for style (pieces that share one colour and one costume, like an all-purple wizard) and up to 40 for time left, plus a bonus for each place cleared. Three stars per level: clear it, clear it with no hearts lost, and dress in style (80% or more).

The five levels

Pumpkin Patch: two-piece costumes: a wizard hat and a star wand, a pirate hat and an eye patch
Candy Lane: three pieces per costume: cats, fairies, pirates with parrots
Owl Woods: colour rules: "all purple" means every piece is purple
Moon Hill: two friends at once: tap a friend (or press Tab) to dress them
Star Castle: a mix of everything, with "four pieces or more" and "no hat" orders

Clear Star Castle and the five places come round again: every visit's clock is a quarter shorter and every costume scores double. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.

Tips

Watch the ticket: when every line has a green tick, press DONE!
Add extra pieces in the same colour and costume to score more style points: purple cape, purple hat and purple curly shoes make a perfect wizard.
"All purple" means every piece you put on, so take off anything in another colour.
With two friends, the gold ticket shows who you are dressing. Finish one, then switch.
