Clicker Games: how to play

Coin Clicker is a free clicker game online, made for short sessions. Tap Penny, a cheeky gold coin in shades, to earn coins, then spend them on upgrades that earn faster: more coins per tap, Coin Bots that keep earning on their own like an idle clicker, ×2 boosts, lucky taps and a coin rush. Each of five places, from the Skate Park to the Moon Mint, has a coin goal and a clock, so it plays like a quick incremental game sprint instead of an endless one.

How to play

• Tap or click Penny (anywhere on the picture works) to earn coins; in this clicker game online, Space or Enter taps too. Up to 12 taps a second count, so an auto-clicker gets you nowhere.
• Spend coins in the shop under the picture or with the keys: 1 Power Tap (more coins per tap), 2 Coin Bot (coins every second, even while you rest), 3 ×2 Boost, 4 Lucky Tap and 5 Coin Rush. Each one costs more every time you buy it.
• Every place has a goal: earn that many coins before its clock runs out. Coins you spend still count toward the goal, so buying upgrades never sets you back.
• Miss a goal and you lose one of your three hearts and that place starts again. The shop starts empty in every place, and the numbers grow as you go: hundreds in the Skate Park, billions on the Moon Mint.
• From Sunset Pier on, golden coins fly by: tap one (or press G) for a bonus worth 15 taps or 6 seconds of your bots, whichever is more. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
• Three stars per place: reach the goal, keep all your hearts, and beat the target time. Your score is every coin you earned in the run, and the golden coins and lucky taps are the same for everyone each day.

The five levels

1. Skate Park: earn 1.8K coins in 70 seconds with Power Tap and Coin Bot
2. Neon Arcade: earn 32K in 80 seconds; the ×2 Boost arrives (up to four of them, ×16)
3. Sunset Pier: earn 700K in 90 seconds while golden coins fly by
4. Rooftop City: earn 20M in 100 seconds; Lucky Tap arrives: each level makes 10% of taps pay ×10 (up to 50%)
5. Moon Mint: earn 1.2B in 110 seconds; Coin Rush arrives: everything pays ×3 for 10 seconds

Clear Moon Mint and the five places come round again with the same clocks and bigger goals: 1.4 times higher in lap 2 and about twice as high from lap 3 on. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.

Tips

• Buy a Power Tap as soon as you have 10 coins, then Coin Bots: they keep paying while your thumb rests.
• Spending never lowers your progress toward the goal, so spend your coins instead of saving them.
• A ×2 Boost doubles taps and bots together, so it is worth most once you have a few bots.
• Start a Coin Rush when your bots are strong and keep tapping: it triples everything for 10 seconds.
