Microchaos: how to play

A rapid run of micro games that each last a few seconds. Read the shout, then go. The first four levels add new games, every level turns up the speed, and the Glitch Zone sometimes swaps left and right.

How to play

• One set of controls for everything: ◀ ▶ to move and ● for action.
• Keys: ←/→ or A/D to move, Space for action. On a phone, tap the left, middle or right of the screen, or use the pad.
• Each game starts with a shout: DODGE!, CATCH!, MASH!, JUMP!, STOP IT!, AIM!, PICK! or ZAP!
• Miss a game and you lose one of three hearts. Clear games in a row for a combo.

The five levels

1. Neon City: dodge, catch and mash
2. Rooftops: add jump and stop it
3. Sewer: add aim and pick
4. Robot Factory: add zap
5. Glitch Zone: no new games, but left and right may flip

Clear the Glitch Zone and the zones loop again with every microgame mixed in, a little faster each lap. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.

Tips

• Read the shout first: it tells you everything you need.
• In AIM and STOP IT, wait until the pointer is right on target, then press.
• Watch for FLIPPED! in the Glitch Zone: then press the other way.
