Mogi Jump: how to play
A platform game starring Mogi. Run and jump through five hand-made levels, one per level, from the neon streets to the rooftops, the sewer, the robot factory and the Glitch Zone. Grab batteries on the way, dodge spikes, pits and patrol bots, and reach the door at the end of each level.
How to play
- Run with ← → (or A and D) and jump with ↑, W, Space or Z. On a phone, use the ◀ ▶ and ▲ JUMP buttons.
- Hold jump to go higher; let go early for a short hop. Jumps are forgiving: you can still jump just after running off an edge, and a jump pressed just before landing still counts.
- From the Rooftops on, Mogi can jump again in mid-air: a double jump.
- Spikes, pits and patrol bots each cost one of your three hearts and send Mogi back to the start of the level, or to the checkpoint once you've passed it.
- Batteries score 50 × the level number. Reaching the door scores 300 × the level number, plus a time bonus for every second under a minute.
The five levels
- Neon City: run and jump: hold jump to go higher
- Rooftops: double jump, and spikes on the roofs
- Sewer: ride moving platforms over the gaps
- Robot Factory: jump over patrol bots and spikes
- Glitch Zone: blocks blink on and off: pink, then blue
Clear the Glitch Zone and the levels loop again with everything that moves (platforms, bots and glitch blocks) 25% faster. You have three hearts for the whole run, and the game is
the same for everyone each day, so you can compare scores. Press M to turn the sound off or on.
Tips
- Glitch blocks flash just before they switch. Jump when the next set is about to appear.
- Let a moving platform come to you, then step on and ride it.
- Patrol bots walk the same path at a steady pace: watch one turn, then jump over it.
Questions
Are the levels new every day?
No. The five levels are made by hand and stay the same, so you can learn them and race for a better score. Best scores and the SHARE result are daily.
What does the checkpoint do?
Each level has one checkpoint about halfway. Once you pass it, losing a heart sends Mogi back there instead of to the start.
Can I play Mogi Jump on a phone?
Yes. Use the ◀ ▶ buttons to run and ▲ JUMP to jump. On an upright phone the view zooms in so Mogi looks bigger.
Is it free?
Yes. Mogi Jump is free in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no download.
